Why is JPL implementing a testing program?
The Scout 300 and BL-22+P are new solutions and since each dispatch center has its own unique technical environment JPL has instituted the testing program
As part of the testing program JPL/The Headset Team will ship to you 2 different versions of the Scout 300 (the 300 and 300A) and/or 2 versions of the BL-22+P (BL-22+P and BL-22A+P). Each version has slightly different power characteristics.
You will test each to ensure compatibility and make sure you have the best option available for each individual Dispatch Center.
How to begin testing process:
- Place order with The Headset Team and complete the JPL Telecom Testing Program Sign-up Form.
- Note that you will need to choose either a JPL Icon 100-PM 575-438-001 or a JPL Icon 100-PB 575-438-002 (which will be used to test the Scout 300’s and are returnable/refundable). You will only be charged for these if you decide to keep them. Returns must be initialed within 30 days of shipment.
- The Headset Team is an Authorized JPL Telecom Partner and will register your organization with JPL so that you have the items shipped to you and can begin the testing process.
Summary of the testing process.
- Depending on which trial you participate in you will receive (1) Scout 300 and (1) Scout 300A or 1 BL-22+P and 1 BL22A+P. Each has slightly different power capabilities. You can also participate in testing for both the Scout 300 and BL-22+P by placing orders with The Headset Team for both the Scout 300 and BL22+P.
- Customer Dispatch Center tests items. Dispatch Center submits their testing results to JPL via the Product Testing Results Form. Completion and submission of the Product Testing Results Form is required. The tests can be completed in a day or two as long as they are tested thoroughly, no need to wait 30 days.
- Results are reviewed by JPL to identify compatible products. JPL/The Headset Team notifies Dispatch Center of approved, compatible products. Quantity purchases of the approved & compatible products are allowed to that Dispatch Center (only).
- Returns: Dispatch Centers may request a pre-paid return shipping label (if needed). This request is submitted through the Product Testing Results Form. The return of Lightly Used / Undamaged products that is initiated within 30 days of receipt will be fully refunded (equal to the purchase price).
Offline (non-credit card) pricing- We are often able to provide better pricing for non-credit card orders paid net 30 via PO's or signed quotes/proposal.
